Ddr4 Slot Support Ddr3
I bought a new PC, and all the parts arrived today! Awesome!
Except the RAM. It hasn't even shipped yet and won't be here until Monday. :(
In the meantime, would it be possible/advisable to use my old DDR2 800 RAM (4GB) until my shiny new DDR3 shows up? Both are 240 pin, but I wasn't sure if DDR3 slots were backward compatible w/ DDR2. Sometimes they move the little slip on the stick around...
Here's the old RAM:

And here's the new RAM:
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
And in case it matters, here's the motherboard I got:
ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards H97M-E/CSM
I'm formatting and moving over the SSD in my existing PC, so before doing all of that I wanted to make sure the old RAM would work too. Thanks for any help you guys can provide!
